I have every reason to wake up with gratitude for all the blessings in my life. However I could pout and look at myself in the mirror and say, hey, what happened? It seems like I was 25 three years ago! Or I could say, I'm grateful for every new day that I'm given and the road that I've been on and the road where I'm going, whether bumpy or smooth. If I have a few extra wrinkles, it's ok! - they tell the story of who I am. We can do both- embrace ourselves at our age and also use anti aging products that nurture our skin and help lessen wrinkles.
So, what are wrinkles? Do you know what a rhytide is? I didn’t! A rhytide is a fold crease or ridge in the fabric or skin. It is from “glycation” which is one of the aging processes.
Wrinkles can also be caused from stress, loss of collagen, too much sun or even too much washing with harsh cleansers or soaps. Poor hydration, smoking, sun damage as well as an unhealthy diet can contribute to wrinkles in the skin.
Embracing the youth in you is just as important as embracing your age. We still have youth in us as long as we're alive! Our bodies are amazing healing machines and if you give them the right nutrition, they will self-heal and be a vessel for strength that will support and carry you your whole life, allowing you to enjoy all the seasons and chapters in your life. What we do need to understand is why we get wrinkles, and how to nurture our skin and be kind to ourselves so we can lessen the deeper wrinkles that are brought on by sun damage, stress & unhealthy habits.
#1 Decreased oil production in skin:
As we age, the skin begins to be more dense and less elastic. As the skin begins to lower its natural oil production, your skin can get dryer and less plump. Dry skin & aging generally lead to what is called “gray cells” which are skin cells that get stuck together and are not as flexible or hydrated as they were during youth. This is why an oil based moisturizer is truly the most important skin care product you will ever use.
#2 Ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause the skin to wrinkle.
UV exposure speeds up the aging process of the body. Exposure to UV rays breaks down the connective tissue of the skin, collagen, and elastin fibers which are found in the deeper layers of the skin. Without these fibers and collagen, the skin begins to lose flexibility and strength. As a result, the skin begins to wrinkle and sag prematurely.
#3 Smoking:
Smoking can lead to fine line wrinkles, especially mouth wrinkles, frown lines, eye wrinkles, crows feet, chin wrinkles, forehead lines and forehead wrinkles. Even if you've smoked for a long time, it is not too late to quit, and let your body heal itself.
Is there a woman who looks like a barbie doll and also looks interesting? “Women should embrace themselves, and not be afraid to smile, laugh and be real. Being yourself is what makes you beautiful.” said Scarlett Olson, an artist and songwriter who started her own organic skin care line in Austin TX.
Confidence is the most beautiful feature on a woman. Taking care of your health and skin gives you confidence.
SOCO Botanicals is for women of all ages who want to nurture their skin and embrace their natural inner beauty. “SOCO Botanicals is a disruptor brand,” she says. “Skin Care Brands are always adding more and more products just to increase the amount you spend; SOCO Botanicals has fewer products that are super concentrated skin nutrition, making your skin care regimen luxurious & simple, without all the extra layers of gunk."
SOCO Botanicals doesn't try to sell you multiple skin layering products. For us, it's more important to provide high quality products that actually work than to sell you dozens of products you don't need.
Oil replenishes the moisture your skin needs to stay hydrated. Face oil delivers vitamins and nutrients to the deeper layers of the skin, locks in moisture and softens the tiny lines and creases.
A little sunlight is healthy because it helps us to produce melanin- this is our body’s natural mechanism to protect our skin. But avoid spending hours under the sun without SPF. Wrinkle formation and lines on face become worse with prolonged sun exposure. Using a face oil with Pomegranate Seed Oil can help disperse melanin in the skin and help reduce sun damage.
Use a natural exfoliator preferably made with Black Walnut Hulls. Exfoliating gently on a regular basis will help increase circulation reduce the incidence of gray cells, bringing elasticity and hydration back to your skin.
The product line is simple. There's SOCO Symphony Anti Aging Elixir Oil as well as SOCO Symphony Men- our exquisite face oil moisturizers, The Citrus Gem Essential Oils Cleanser & Enzyme Mask in One, The Black Lava Scrub & Detox Mask In One, The Benevolence Body Oil; the delicious Kissable Lip Balm that is sweetened with Stevia and Essential Oils, a set of organic tinted lip balms that can be used for color on cheeks as well, an essential oils roll on perfume that smells divine; essential oils bath bombs and handmade soaps made with our signature EO blend.
Cream is made up of oil, water based ‘active’ or chemical ingredients, and emulsifiers (waxy binders to keep the oil and water together so they don't separate). The only beneficial part of cream that can be absorbed by your skin is the oil in it- but it is harder for those oils to absorb into your skin when it is blended with wax that sits like a plastic coating on top of your skin. Why use cream with all the extra fillers and iffy chemicals when you can just use the important part? Use pure oil as your moisturizer instead of cream and get better, longer lasting results.

How to use SOCO Symphony
This is the best serum I've ever purchased, and I highly recommend it if you have dry skin. Wouldn’t be without it!! My skin is becoming drier as I age and effective moisturizers are hard to find. This serum absorbs extremely well into my dry skin and keeps my face feeling nice and moisturized, not oily. I use it twice daily and always have a backup so I don't run out! If you need moisture to keep you glowing, this one's for you!!!
